Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Richmond, VA

ProTouch Staffing is hiring a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This role is ideal for an experienced respiratory therapist who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment and is comfortable supporting patients with complex respiratory needs.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS

- Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

- Location: Richmond, VA

- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

- Start Date: November 16, 2026

- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM

- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts

- Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

- Overtime: After 40 hours per week

- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends

- Call: Preferably one 24-hour call shift every 5-6 weeks

- Orientation: 16 non-billable hours

- Unit Size: 430-bed hospital

- Patient Workload: Approximately 20-25 treatments per round

- Charting System: Meditech

- Scrub Color: Navy Blue

WEEKLY COMPENSATION

- Gross Weekly Pay: $2,254.24

- Taxable Weekly Pay: $843.12

- Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,411.12

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

- ICU experience is required.

- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.

- Active Virginia state license required.

- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

- Experience with the following procedures and equipment is required:

- Nebulizer treatments

- BiPAP/CPAP

- Mechanical ventilators

- Arterial blood gas testing

- Must be available for rotating weekends.

- Must be comfortable with the call rotation.

UNIT INFORMATION

- Staffing: Approximately 25 staff members.

- Day Shift Staffing: 3-4 therapists.

- Night Shift Staffing: 3 therapists.

- Patient Workload: Approximately 20-25 treatments per round.

- Equipment: Oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas machines.

- Work Environment: Fast-paced respiratory care unit.
