Advanced Radiology Consultants is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) for an exciting 13-week assignment in Fairfield, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have strong MRI imaging experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced radiology environment. Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
Shift: 5 Days x 8 Hours ( Monday - Friday 1:30-9pm or 2pm-9pm.)
ARRT (R)(MR) required CT License required BLS required Must be proficient in venipuncture 3T GE MRI experience a must

Key responsibilities include:

Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.

Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the examination process and answering questions.
Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, medical devices, and potential contraindications.
Operate MRI scanners and associated imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
Select and adjust imaging protocols based on physician orders and patient needs.
Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Recognize and respond appropriately to patient concerns or potential adverse reactions.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Follow infection control procedures, radiation safety principles where applicable, and facility protocols.
Maintain MRI equipment and report any technical issues or equipment malfunctions.
Ensure compliance with departmental policies, patient confidentiality, and applicable healthcare regulations.
