Travel Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse - Rochester, NY

ProTouch Staffing is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive care to laboring patients, supporting deliveries, and caring for postpartum patients and newborns.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Location: Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 24, 2026
Shift: Rotating Days and Nights
Day Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Overtime: After 40 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
On-Call: None

Floating: Required within skill set

Charting System: EPIC experience required
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Radius Rule: Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
Call-Off Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract

WEEKLY COMPENSATION

Gross Weekly Pay: $2,772.00

Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,260.00

Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,512.00

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

Active New York Single State RN license required. New York is not a Compact state.

Pending licenses are not accepted.

Current required certifications:

BLS

ACLS or OB-ACLS

EFM

NRP

EPIC experience required.

Must be proficient in the following clinical skills

Assisting with vaginal deliveries.

Circulating and recovering C-sections.

Magnesium Sulfate therapy and administration of Pitocin and Terbutaline.

APGAR scoring and newborn care.

Baby security banding and thermoregulation.

Fundus, lochia, and perineal care.

Postpartum hemorrhage management and care for pregnancy-induced hypertension.

Non-Stress Tests (NST).

External fetal monitoring (EFM).

IUPC placement and calibration.

Must be comfortable floating within the assigned skill set.

All requested time off (RTO), block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be submitted with the initial profile.
