Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Rockford, Illinois. This opportunity offers competitive weekly compensation, a 12-hour night-shift schedule, and the chance to care for patients with complex critical care needs, including trauma, neurological conditions, burns, and medical-surgical emergencies.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Rockford, IL

• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week

• Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

• Patient Ratios: 1:2 to 1:3

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday)

• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

• Call: No call required

• Floating: Required throughout the facility, excluding ER and OB. If floated to Medical-Surgical, the ratio is capped at 1:4.

• Scrub Color: Any professional scrub color

Weekly Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,473

• Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,206

• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267

Experience & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience

• BLS certification (AHA) required

• ACLS certification (AHA) required

• NIHSS certification required

• PALS preferred but not required

• Ventilator management experience

• Medication and critical care drip titration experience

• Arterial line and central line experience

• Ability to assess EKG rhythms and recognize the need for intervention

Preferred Clinical Experience

• CRRT experience

• EVD and ICP monitoring experience

Clinical Environment

• Care for complex trauma patients, including head, chest, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma

• Stroke care, including IV tPA, thrombectomy, embolization, and aneurysm coiling

• Adult burn care and pediatric burn patients up to 18-20% BSA without respiratory involvement

• General medical and surgical patients requiring critical care

• Experience with common ICU drips and critical care equipment
