Requirements

Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required. ED holding experience is required. General ED experience is not required.
Ratio: 4-6:1, depending on patient mix
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
EMR: Epic
License: FL or compact nursing license. A recent Nursys must be on the profile.
Education: Degree accreditation must be on the profile, or 5 years of experience.
Radius rule: 50 miles from the permanent address
Interview/offer: Interview and offer

Role Details

The nurse will care for ED boarders and take patients in the hallway.
Floating is required. Travelers float first and may be sent to sister campuses. They will not float to the ED.
Culture is very important. Travelers are welcomed onto the unit and are expected to function like core staff.
