Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Morgantown, West Virginia. This opportunity offers competitive weekly compensation with 36- or 48-hour scheduling options and 12-hour night shifts in a critical care setting.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Morgantown, WV

• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Schedule Options: 3 or 4 shifts per week

• Scheduled Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

• Patient Ratios: 2:1

• Unit: Neuro ICU

• Unit Capacity: 20 beds

• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts, plus one Friday and one Monday per four-week schedule

• Holiday Requirement: Holidays as needed; not every holiday is required

• Scheduling: Preference scheduling; block scheduling is accepted

Weekly Compensation

36-Hour Schedule

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,419

• Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,152

• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267

48-Hour Schedule

• Gross Weekly Pay: $3,191

• Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,924

• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267

Experience & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

• ICU and critical care experience required

• BLS certification required

• ACLS certification required

• NIHSS certification required

• Experience titrating critical care drips

• Ability to care for patients with complex neurological and critical care conditions

Clinical Experience & Unit Details

• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, dialysis, intracranial hemorrhage, and neurological disorders requiring critical care.

• Experience with ventriculostomies and external ventricular drains (EVDs) is relevant.

• Common titratable medications include Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vasopressin.

• Ventilatory support includes ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula.

• Respiratory therapy coverage is available 24/7.

• An intensivist is in-house during the day, on call at night, with 24/7 APP coverage.

• A dedicated charge nurse is available and is not included in staffing.
