Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN - Emergency Room to join a busy 24-bed emergency department in Tomball, TX.

The facility is a Level III Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, and a Primary Stroke Center. The unit offers a family-like atmosphere with a strong, supportive team.

Job Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care and assessment to adult and pediatric patients.
Perform IV initiation, blood collection, transfusions, and medication administration.
Participate in adult and pediatric resuscitation.
Provide care to behavioral health patients.
Assist with intubation, splinting, and moderate sedation.
Apply restraints when clinically necessary.
Work collaboratively with the emergency department team.

Requirements

Required Certifications:

BLS
ACLS
PALS or ENPC (one is required)

Preferred Certifications:

TNCC
ATCN
CEN

Unit Details

24-bed Emergency Department.
Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4.
EMR: Meditech.
Equipment includes Level 1, Lucas devices, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, GE bedside monitors, and EKG machines.
Day and night shifts have 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters.

Schedule & Additional Information

Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM.
Minimum of 2 weekends per month required.
No on-call requirements.
No floating requirements.
Scrub Color: Royal Blue.
Team-oriented candidates who are flexible with assignments across the ER are preferred.
