Travel Stepdown / Progressive Care RN | Day Shift

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Dayton, OH

• Start Date: November 16, 2026

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

• Scheduled Hours: 48 hours per week

• Overtime: Begins after 48 hours per week, according to the assignment terms

• Patient Ratios: Target 1:4; may increase to 1:5-6

• Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday availability

• Charting System: EPIC

• Floating: Required across appropriate specialty clusters and inpatient units based on staffing needs

• Travel Experience: Preferred

Weekly Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,855.60

• Taxable Weekly Wages: $1,497.60

• Potential Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,358.00

Advertised gross weekly compensation is based on 48 scheduled hours and includes taxable wages and potential non-taxable stipends. Stipend eligibility depends on individual circumstances and applicable tax regulations. Actual compensation may vary based on hours worked, residency, and assignment terms.

Experience & Requirements

Required

• At least 1.5 years of nursing experience

• EPIC experience

• BLS certification

• ACLS certification

• NIH certification

• Experience with stable chronic ventilators

• Successful completion of an online EKG and telemetry competency assessment before starting the assignment

• Availability to float to appropriate inpatient units based on clinical competency and staffing needs

Preferred

• Previous travel nursing experience

• IV-start experience

• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting

Submission and Scheduling Notes

• Requested time off must be included with the initial submission. Additional requests cannot be added after an offer, and approval is at the manager's discretion.

• A current Nursys report and application are required with submission.

This Stepdown / Progressive Care assignment supports patients who need close observation, cardiac monitoring, and specialized nursing interventions.

Clinical expectations include:

• Telemetry monitoring and EKG competency

• Care for patients requiring stable chronic ventilator support

• Working within target nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, with ratios potentially reaching 1:5-6

• Floating to appropriate inpatient units and specialty clusters according to competency and staffing requirements

Floating may include nearby campuses within the local service area. Assignment locations and duties depend on operational needs.
