Assignment Highlights

• Location: Charlottesville, VA

• Start Date: November 23, 2026

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

• Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

• Alternative Schedule: 48-hour weeks may be available

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday; must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays

• Scheduling: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed

• Charting System: EPIC

• Floating: Must follow the facility's float policy

Weekly Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,018.00

• Taxable Weekly Wages: $540.00

• Potential Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,478.00

Advertised gross weekly compensation is based on 36 scheduled hours and includes taxable wages and potential non-taxable stipends. Stipend eligibility depends on individual circumstances and applicable tax regulations. Actual compensation may vary based on hours worked, residency, and assignment terms.

Experience & Requirements

Required

• BLS certification

• ACLS certification

• EPIC experience

• NIH Stroke certification

Pending Credentials

• Candidates may be submitted with NIH Stroke certification pending.

• Candidates may be submitted with a Virginia RN license pending.

Clinical Environment

The Neuro ICU is a 12-bed critical care unit providing intensive management for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

Patient populations and conditions may include:

• Acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke

• Traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury

• Central nervous system tumors and infections

• Complex spine surgery

• Endovascular interventions

• Neuromuscular diseases

• Status epilepticus

This assignment is suited to nurses experienced in critical care who are prepared to support patients with serious neurological conditions and changing clinical needs.
