Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) | Day Shift

Support a busy outpatient surgical setting with a diverse range of procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, breast and plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, podiatry, and eye procedures.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Arlington, VA

• Start Date: November 16, 2026

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift

• Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

• Weekends: No regular weekend shifts

• Holidays: No regular holiday shifts

• Call: Late-stay signup required

• Setting: Outpatient Pavilion

• Surgical Environment: 6 operating rooms, approximately 35 cases per day

Weekly Compensation

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,450.84

• Taxable Weekly Wages: $600.00

• Potential Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,850.84

Advertised gross weekly compensation is based on 40 scheduled hours and includes taxable wages and potential non-taxable stipends. Stipend eligibility depends on individual circumstances and applicable tax regulations. Actual compensation may vary based on hours worked, residency, and assignment terms.

Experience & Requirements

Required

• At least 2 years of Operating Room RN experience

• Active Virginia RN license

• Current BLS certification

• Proficiency in a range of operating room specialties

Preferred

• ACLS certification

• CNOR certification

• Experience in orthopedic, breast and plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, and general surgery

Additional Requirement

• Flu vaccination is required during flu season, October 1 through March 31. Medical or religious exemption requests require supporting documentation and review.

This outpatient surgical assignment offers exposure to a variety of surgical services, including:

• General surgery

• Gynecology

• Breast and plastic surgery

• Urology

• Orthopedics

• Podiatry

• Eye procedures

Candidates should be comfortable supporting a diverse surgical caseload and adapting to the needs of a multidisciplinary perioperative team.
