We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Morgantown, West Virginia, specializing in Neuro Stepdown and Epilepsy Monitoring.

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀

Location: Morgantown, WV
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Hours: 36 hours/week
Unit: Neuro Stepdown / Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
Total Beds: 31 (25 Stepdown, 6 EMU)
Charting System: EPIC
Orientation: 2 shifts on the unit
Scrub Color: Royal blue

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘀

Neuro Stepdown: 1:3
EMU/Floor: 1:5-6

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

Care for high-acuity neuroscience and stroke patients
Monitor patients with seizures, epilepsy, and post-craniotomy needs
Provide neurological assessments and implement NIHSS protocols
Manage prescribed IV medication infusions as permitted by unit protocols
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide safe, effective patient care

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Strong neurological nursing experience
Previous experience caring for stroke patients
EPIC experience required
Willingness to float to other units as needed

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

BLS
NIHSS

Preferred: ACLS

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀

Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
Holiday rotation required
Charge nurse available 24/7
Respiratory therapy available 24/7
Ventilator experience is not required
