We are seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Medical/Surgical assignment in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong Med/Surg and Telemetry experience who are comfortable floating to similar medical-surgical units as needed. First-time travelers are welcome!

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀

Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Contract: 13/26 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Additional Hours: May pick up extra shifts as needed
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call: Not required
Floating: As needed to similar Medical/Surgical departments
Charting System: EPIC

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience
Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required
EPIC experience required
Must be comfortable floating to similar units as needed
First-time travelers accepted

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

BLS, ACLS required

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀

Night-shift patient ratios: 1:5-6
No LPN coverage on night shift
Charge nurse assignments vary depending on staffing
Common diagnoses include pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status (AMS), and sepsis
