We are seeking an experienced Travel Medical/Surgical RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment in Fort Wayne, IN. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with experience in a large hospital setting and strong general medical-surgical nursing skills.

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀

Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days and nights both available
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Charting System: EPIC
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Floating: Required to other medical units
Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary hospital experience
At least 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience at a large hospital with 450+ beds
Active Indiana RN license or eligible compact RN license
BLS certification through AHA

𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

General medical-surgical nursing care
Patient assessment and care planning
Interprofessional communication and EPIC documentation
IV therapy and IV pump management
Wound vac and chest tube management
Feeding tubes and feeding pumps
Heparin and insulin drip management
Telemetry monitoring
Blood glucose monitoring

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, including COPD, diabetes, CHF, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, infections, stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, and mental health conditions.

Procedures may include colonoscopies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries.
