Travel RN - PCU (Progressive Care)

About the role

We're hiring a travel RN to join a progressive care unit. PCU patients need closer monitoring than a med/surg floor, but are not yet at ICU level. You'll work with a collaborative care team in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac, respiratory and post-acute cases
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer IV medications and manage central lines, drains and other devices as needed
Assess patients, update care plans and chart accurately in the facility EMR
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy and the interdisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs

Requirements

Active RN license (state or compact)
1-2 years of recent RN experience, with PCU, step-down, telemetry or ICU experience preferred
BLS required. ACLS preferred.
Previous travel experience preferred
Ability to float within the facility as needed
