About this role

Position / Specialty: RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry (Resource Pool)

Location: Cherokee Medical Center, Gaffney, SC
Additional Campus: Spartanburg Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 13 weeks
Hours: Open to 36 or 48 hours per week
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: As needed
On-Call: Required for holiday coverage
Block Scheduling: Not available
Local Candidates: Not accepted - must live more than 75 miles from the facility
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Guaranteed Hours: Based on signed contract hours

Position Details:

Resource Pool assignment based at Cherokee Medical Center.
May float to Spartanburg Medical Center, Church Street Campus, and Mary Black Campus based on facility needs.
The nurse will be informed in advance which campus they are scheduled to work at.
Must be willing to float within their scope of practice.
Open to 48-hour schedules.
All requested time off (RTO) must be included with the initial submission. Later requests will not be considered.

Holiday Requirements:
A holiday form is required. Candidates must meet one of the following options:

Work 1 holiday plus 2 on-call/additional shifts per 6-week period, OR
Work 2 holidays with no on-call/additional shifts.

Requirements:

2 years of experience preferred; candidates with 1+ year may be considered.
ACLS required.
BLS required.
NIH required.
Pending license accepted, but the license must be obtained before the start date.
Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day.
Must pass the onsite fit test. Shaving may be required to meet fit-testing requirements.

Attendance Policy:
Missing more than 2 shifts during a 13-week contract without a reasonable explanation may result in a contract review and possible cancellation, at the facility's discretion.
