CT Technologist, Days, Travel Contract, Tulsa, OK - 13 weeks - 488

Shift/Schedule:
Days: Thursday / Friday / Saturday every other week
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of CT experience
GE CT experience
EPIC EMR experience
TEC experience
Nice to Have:
Level 1 Trauma experience
Required Certification & Licensure:
Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

Job Summary:
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to process cross-sectional images of a patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic CT examinations according to the department's policies and protocols.
Screens, prepares, and positions patients for CT procedures based on diagnoses and body parts.
Demonstrates knowledge of all CT equipment, including laser camera operations.
Evaluates CT studies for quality and completeness.
Utilizes advanced image manipulation techniques such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction.
Understands image display and filming options.
Recognizes and resolves CT imaging and filming issues.
Sends images to the PACS system, evaluates exams for completeness, and verifies exams in a timely manner.
Develops working knowledge of all PACS capabilities.
Maintains accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charges for examinations and supplies.
Administers contrast media appropriately as directed by the Radiologist.
Maintains radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members.
Responds to patient physical and psychological needs.
Keeps patients informed and explains procedures clearly to reduce anxiety.
Listens to and answers patient questions with patience and courtesy.
Seeks guidance from appropriate resources when unsure of protocols or policies.
Maintains a clean and properly supplied work area.
Uses independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making decisions in a complex technical field.
Works directly with patients and/or customers.
Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
Works with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
Required Skills & Experience:
5 years of related experience.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
Required Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Required Certification & Licensure:
Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
