Travel Emergency Room RN Opportunity in Iron Mountain, Michigan

Assignment Highlights

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)

• Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Start Date: October 26, 2026

• Shift: Day and evening shifts

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week

• Weekly Hours: 36

• Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday and Sunday

• Holiday Requirement: Typically every other holiday; winter holiday coverage may require at least two of three holidays

• Floating: Inpatient units for helping hands as needed

• Scrubs: Any solid color, clean and professional

• Local Candidates: Candidates living within 80 miles may be subject to a reduced local pay rate

Weekly Compensation

• Gross Weekly Compensation: $2,329

• Taxable Weekly Wages: $1,062

• Potential Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267

Compensation is based on the scheduled 36-hour workweek and individual stipend eligibility.

Experience & Requirements

Required

• Active Michigan RN license in hand

• At least 2 years of emergency department nursing experience

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications

• Ability to provide care in a fast-paced emergency setting

Additional Assignment Details

• Travelers may be considered, including first-time travelers

• Travelers may perform triage after reviewing and understanding facility policies and procedures

• Scheduling includes variable start times

• Candidates must disclose in their submission if they have previously worked for Marshfield. Previous workers must have an end date at least six months before submission.

Clinical Environment

Work in an emergency department featuring:

• 14 beds, including 2 trauma bays

• Three designated fast-track rooms and two triage rooms

• Approximately 40 to 60 patients per day

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 during the day, with staffing varying overnight

• An emergency physician in-house 24/7, along with mid-level providers

• Respiratory therapy and phlebotomy coverage 24/7

• Nearby X-ray and CT services

• A central monitoring station, with nurses responsible for monitoring patients

• A varied patient population that may include trauma, motor vehicle accidents, cardiac emergencies, strokes, and outdoor or agricultural injuries

Department orientation includes computer-based training and two days of floor orientation.
