- Taxable hourly rate: $27.50
- Housing stipend: $791/week
- Meal stipend: $476/week
Overtime for hours over 40 per week

About the Facility

Facility is an acute care hospital serving Wausau and the surrounding communities in central Wisconsin. Social workers are an important part of the care team and work closely with nursing, physicians, case management and community partners to support patients and families.

The Role

You'll join the hospital's social work team on a 13-week travel assignment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Completing psychosocial assessments for patients and families
Providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling
Supporting safe, timely discharge planning
Connecting patients with community resources, post-acute care and follow-up services
Coordinating with the interdisciplinary care team
Advocating for patients and families, including those facing complex medical, behavioral health or social needs
Documenting accurately in the electronic medical record
